About IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Dr. Samuel George Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences serves as a central coordinating body to plan, implement, monitor, and sustain quality enhancement initiatives within the institution. Constituted as per the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC is dedicated to fostering a culture of academic excellence, continuous improvement, and participative governance across all academic and administrative units of the college.
IQAC functions as a catalyst for developing and applying quality benchmarks, monitoring teaching-learning standards, promoting research and innovation, and ensuring academic accountability to achieve institutional goals effectively.
Objectives of the IQAC
- To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
- To promote the adoption of best practices in teaching, learning, evaluation, and research activities.
- To ensure effective implementation of quality enhancement initiatives in line with NAAC, PCI and UGC norms.
- To facilitate internal academic and administrative audits and provide recommendations for continual improvement.
- To encourage participation of stakeholders — students, faculty, alumni, employers — in the quality assurance process.
- To prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) and coordinate accreditation-related activities.

- Development and implementation of quality benchmarks and parameters for academic and administrative activities.
- Organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences on quality enhancement themes.
- Collection and analysis of feedback from students, faculty, alumni, and stakeholders on institutional processes.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment by adopting modern teaching-learning methods.
- Documenting institutional best practices, achievements, and innovations.
- Monitoring academic and administrative performance through internal audits.
- Coordinating with all statutory bodies and departments to align institutional operations with regulatory norms.
- Preparing institutional reports for NAAC, PCI and affiliating university submissions.
