About NSS Cell

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Dr. Samuel George Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is a vibrant student-driven platform dedicated to community service, social responsibility, and nation-building. Established with the motto “Not Me But You,” the NSS Cell encourages students to actively participate in outreach activities, rural health programs, awareness campaigns, and national integration initiatives, fostering holistic development alongside academic learning.

Functions of NSS Cell

  • To promote social consciousness and responsibility among students.
  • To organize community outreach programs such as health camps, blood donation drives, and environmental awareness campaigns.
  • To establish partnerships with government and non-governmental organizations for social welfare activities.
  • To involve students in activities contributing to rural development, literacy, public health, and national unity.
  • To instill leadership, teamwork, and ethical values through experiential learning.

Facilities of the NSS Cell

  • Dedicated NSS Room with resource materials, event records, and communication equipment.
  • Access to college transport for community programs and field visits.
  • Audio-visual aids for conducting awareness drives and training sessions.
  • Log books, registration records, and activity reports maintained systematically.

NSS Registrations

Students can register as NSS volunteers at the start of each academic year by filling out the NSS Volunteer Registration Form available at the NSS Office or downloading it from the website.

Eligibility: Open to all students of SGIPS who are enthusiastic about contributing to community welfare and personal development.
